I own my home and it it asking me to input mortgage info...?? How can I bypass this.

On the screen that asks Did you pay any home loans in 2022? answer NO.

Enter form 1098 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to form 1098

You should not have to put any entries in the mortgage section.

Select Deductions & Credits

1. Scroll to Your Home
2. Select Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098)
3. You should see a banner with whatever is posted.
4. Select the trash can on the right and delete the record.
5. If you have real estate taxes do not post it under Mortgage.
6. Select the line below Property (Real Estate) Taxes and enter it there.
