No, according to the following TurboTax article, Texas is not one of the states listed where the car registration fee is tax-deductible.

No, according to the following TurboTax article, Texas is not one of the states listed where the car registration fee is tax-deductible.

I believe it is minimal what you can deduct, here is what I found. It varies depending on the county

I believe IRS guidance is that fees are deductible when based on the car's/vehicle's value.  The fees shown are do not appear to be based on the cars value.
