I live and work in California. I purchased a house in Las Vegas, NV in 2018. I still took itemized deduction in Federal tax return (married filing jointly, the total in Schedule A was more than $24000), but since the state income tax and real estate tax together are now limited to $10000, the property tax I paid for the new house in Las Vegas was practically excluded from the deduction. I know there is no income taxes in Nevada, but can the property tax be deductible in any other ways? Please advise. Thanks

No, you can only deduct property taxes for your homes on Schedule A. If you were to rent the property in Las Vegas in the future you would be able to deduct the property taxes as an expense against your rental property.
