I live and work in California. Besides my home in California, I also own a house in Las Vegas, NV. Can property tax that I paid in Nevada be tax deductible?
I live and work in California. I purchased a house in Las Vegas, NV in 2018. I still took itemized deduction in Federal tax return (married filing jointly, the total in Schedule A was more than $24000), but since the state income tax and real estate tax together are now limited to $10000, the property tax I paid for the new house in Las Vegas was practically excluded from the deduction. I know there is no income taxes in Nevada, but can the property tax be deductible in any other ways? Please advise. Thanks
