Your post is confusing and it seems you want to do something that is not possible. Do you mean that you did not receive the refund for your 2024 tax return, which would have included the refundable additional child tax credit----and you are still trying to get your 2024 refund?
Or do you mean something went wrong or was incorrect on your 2024 return that prevented you from getting the CTC?
You cannot get a 2024 child tax credit on your 2025 tax return. If you were eligible for the child tax credit on your 2024 tax return, it would have been included automatically when you entered your dependent and your income from working into the 2024 tax software.
So...either you were not eligible for the CTC for 2024, or you made some kind of mistake and need to amend your 2024 tax return to seek that credit.
Look carefully at your 2024 Form 1040. What do you see on line 19? What is on line 28?
