It depends if you received a W-2 or not.

If the company issued you a W-2, then enter the foreign employment in the W-2 Wages & Income section. After entering the form, on the following screen, you can select the box that this was foreign earned income  Be sure to do this step first (if applicable), before heading into the Foreign Income section.

If the company you worked for didn't issue you a W-2, then you can enter the employment income in the Foreign Income section. To return to this section, type Foreign income in the top right search box. On the first screen, What Form(s) Was Foreign Income Reported On? select the 3rd checkbox A statement from my foreign employer.

Then, you'll be asked about both your net self-employment profit and employee earnings. Let me know how it goes!

you also need to enter the self employment income on schedule C, not just the foreign earned income section
