I had an energy efficient mini split system installed in May 2022, but filed my taxes for 2022. Can I still submit for an energy credit (Form 5695) in 2022 or 2023?

I already submitted my 2022 taxes, but installed the system in that year. Can I submit the form some how still for 2022 or can I submit it next year?

You will have to amend the 2022 tax return that was filed to get the Home Energy tax credit.

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-change-correct-return-a...
