LOOK at your form 1040 ... COUSINS are not qualifying children for the stimulus payment so neither of you will get the stimulus payment for them this year ... she can file a 2020 return next year to get the stimulus payment for them.
"I didn't get the$1500".
The other reply assumes you are asking about the Economic Impact Payment (EIP), also known as the Stimulus payment. The other answer is correct, cousins, even 1st cousins, are not qualified children for the EIP.
My answer assumes you are asking why you didn't get the $500 (per dependent) credit for other dependents, on your tax return.
There are two types of dependents, "Qualifying Children"(QC) and standard ("Qualifying Relative" in IRS parlance even though they don't have to actually be related). Her children are not related closely enough to be QCs and they did not live with you long enough to be Qualifying Relatives ("stayed with me part of the year"). A cousin needs to live with you all year, to be a standard dependent.
If she had any earned income at all, it may be best if she claimed them, or better yet, let the other parent claim them. They are worth up to $2000 each to the non-custodial parent.
If your cousin files a tax return, in 2021, for tax year 2020, she will be able to claim the $500 stimulus on her children, under 17.
"In essence, the stimulus check acts as an advance of your 2020 income tax refund. This means when you prepare your 2020 income tax return, there will be a line to include the section 6428 credit. The credit on your 2020 return is subtracted by any amount received as a stimulus check in 2020. If the amount you received as a stimulus check is less than the credit you are due, the difference will be included as part of your 2020 refund. If you have been overpaid by receiving the stimulus check, however, you will not be required to return any excess amount".
