I ended up with standard deductions. Now I can't find the charitable donations I entered. Does TurboTax deletes all that information or is it retained somewhere?

It is still there ... hiding.  If you use the downloaded program it is easy to find by simply going into the FORMS mode and calling up the Sch A form/worksheet.  

In the online program it is more difficult and if you don't put things back properly it will mess up your 2023 return.  Do you really need that info ?   Don't you have the charitable reciepts to look at ?
