Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I am trying to enter my 1099-SA that I received. However I did not contribute to the HSA in 2020. It is just what was left over from 2019. Am I entering this correct?

The distribution shows 402.00. I am at a page that says Additional income under last month rule and 1625.00.  I do not understand. Please help?

1. Do you have an HSA?

1.5 Did you contribute to your HSA in 2019?

2. What was the distribution for? Qualified medical expenses or the withdrawal of excess contributions?

3. Did you see the question "What type of High Deductible Health Plan did [name] have on December 1, 2019?". How did you answer?

4. Do you have a spouse, and was question #3 aimed at your spouse and not you?

At the end of your reply, put @ BILLM223 (without the space in between) so I will be notified of your response.

Contributions are entered separately in Turbotax from distributions (withdrawals).  A 1099 is for distributions only.

You sound like you are in the contribution section.  Just answer whatever your eligibility was; if you had limited eligibility because you did not have qualified insurance, that won't matter as long as you didn't make contributions.
