I am a Fla resident. I have to file a nonresident Pennsylvania return for sale of inherited property. How do I file in Pa for only the sale, not everything earned?

The Turbo Tax Premier software tells me Pa wants more info on my income and it appears PA wants to tax me on my full earnings, not just the money from the sale.

Pennsylvania taxes nonresidents on  each class of income received while a resident and items from Pennsylvania sources while a nonresident. You shouldn't be taxed on income not from PA as a nonresident, but you have to tell the program which income is from PA and which is not.

Go through each screen and make sure to check that the income is not taxable in PA for each item. You'll see a screen each time saying " This item not taxable in Pennsylvania."

If you find that Pennsylvania is taxing you on some non-PA  income even after you go through and do this, let me know, and I'll get back to you with a screenshot of how to remove the income item from Pennsylvania tax.
