I already submitted the Energy-Efficient Vehicle through your Deductions & Credits tab. Do I still need to complete Form 8936, Clean Vehicle Credits & 8936, Schedule A?

I elected to transfer the value of my clean vehicle credits to the dealership. I'm curious to know if you (TurboTax) will automatically update the proper documents since I filled out your "Energy-Efficient Vehicles" tab under the "Deductions & Credits"?

Yes, as long as you entered the requested information in the Deductions and Credits > Cars and Other Things You Own > Energy-efficient Vehicles section of your return, then TurboTax will fill out and include Form 8936 and Form 8936 A (if needed) as part of your tax return.

You do not need to specifically fill out Form 8936 or Form 8936 A on your own.
