Only your medical expenses that are greater than 7.5% of your AGI can be entered on Schedule A as an itemized deduction.
You must have unreimbursed medical expense in excess of 7.5% of your adjusted gross income and you must itemize on Schedule A to deduct. Additionally, the sum of all of your itemized deductions must exceed your standard deduction for your filing status to receive a benefit of itemizing.
You can enter your medical expenses along with your other itemized deductions and TurboTax will let you know if you have enough to itemize.
once your medical expenses exceed 7.5% of your AGI, you still need enough in itemized deductions so they exceed your standard deduction.
