To enter/edit Foreign Income choice:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Enter foreign income in the Search box.
  3. Click on jump to foreign income link.
  4. Answer No if you did not make any money outside the U.S.

Here's the general procedure for viewing a list of all the forms in your return and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off
  2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form
  4. Select Delete next to the form, schedule, and worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

Thanks, @TomK2023! I followed your instructions & in the end, the software is still saying that I'm due a $7 foreign tax credit (even though I made it clear that I had no foreign income). 😩 I hope you can either help me further or refer me to a TurboTax employee who can look into this issue.

It is possible that foreign taxes paid are listed on a Form 1099-INT or 1099-DIV you entered reporting interest or dividend income, see box 6 or 7 on the 1099 forms. If so, you are probably entitled to a credit for those taxes. Also, it is possible you may have a foreign tax credit carryover from a previous year, as that can happen if you aren't able to use the entire credit in the year it began.

Thanks, Thomas! Unfortunately, there was no carryover & nothing on my 2023 1099's. IDK why I'm receiving this credit. Hope you can help further, db

To clarify, did you receive and report a 1099 INT or a 1099 DIV?
