TurboTax will create Form IT-209 if you filled out Personal Info to show the custodial parent is allowing you to claim a child as a dependent.

After that, go to the New York section of TurboTax.

1. Continue to Take a look at New York credits and taxes
2. Find You and Your Family
3. Select Earned Income Credit and answer the questions
