Why do you need to edit the carryover worksheet? It is reporting what you filed last year but perhaps there is another area area where you can make the adjustment. In most cases, the depreciation allowed or allowable does not apply if you used the Standard Mileage.
I need to amend mine as well but the box is grayed out... The mileage has an error and the system won't let me fix it. It's also saying I now have to file by mail and I can't e-file....???
If you are in the Review section, get out of there and go back to the Vehicle Expenses in the Self-Employment Income and Expenses (Business) section. Search for Schedule C and use the Jump to Schedule C link to get back to where you need to be to edit. Click Revisit next to your business, then scroll down to Vehicle Expenses and click on Edit. When you go back through the screens, you can edit your mileage information from those screens. @soliterra
As far as not being able to e-file, see if your edits resolve that and if not, let us know what messages you are receiving after you fix your mileage.
Wow thank you for getting back to me so quickly! However when I follow your instructions (I am a freelance musician) and go to my income, I cannot find schedule C anywhere. Can you please help me locate this? I'm in my income but don't see any "jump to" options...
Eureka! I found it! Thank you SO much, what a relief. Very kind of you.
