Hello,
I didn’t add my expenses for my daughters child care expenses. Can I amend that as well this year in 2021?
If you have not yet filed your tax return, open TurboTax and type 'child and dependent care expenses' in the Search area, then click on 'Jump to child and dependent care expenses'.
If you have already filed, and your return has been Accepted, wait until you receive your Refund, then you can Amend your return.
Click this link for more info on Amending your Tax Return.
I looked on the amended form and I do not see where you can add childcare expenses. Can someone explain where would I find it?
To add a Form 2441 for childcare expenses, you need to complete the Form 2441 and Form 1040X.
This is fairly easy to do in TurboTax and very complicated to do on paper. The first step is to wait until you receive your original refund.
