Is this a business vehicle or a personal vehicle?
There is no deduction for cost of personal vehicles.
You can report the Sale Tax you paid on the vehicle, although that would only be beneficial if
1. You Itemize Deductions rather than take the Standard Deduction
2. You paid more in State Sales Tax than State Income Tax
Was the car purchased for business use? Are you self-employed? Or is this a car for personal use?
If the car is for use in self-employment there are vehicle expenses you can enter on your Schedule C.
If this is your personal car, there is nothing to enter about it except maybe sales tax if you have other itemized deductions to enter like mortgage interest or medical expenses. If you do not have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, sales tax will have no effect on your tax due or refund.
