Home staging and advertising expenses when selling home

I understand that staging costs are considered advertising expenses and can be used to reduce the capital gain when selling a house.

If I had to temporarily move out of the house to stage it (staging company contract would not allow anyone to stay in the house overnight), can I also include my hotel bill as part of the advertising expenses?

Unfortunately, no. That is not a deductible expense.
