Home sale in Turbotax 2025

It is now Jan of 2026 and I have desktop TT 2025 and I can find no way of entering a 1099-S for the sale of a primary residence.  The are instructions to go to "less common income" and there is a bullet point for a home sale, but no way to enter anything under that menu.

Any way of doing this?  I have TT2025 Premier.

Home sale in Turbotax 2025

When you go to the "Sale of Home" section you get a screen that says "Sale of Home will be ready by February, but likely sooner." In other words, you can't enter anything yet because the software isn't ready. Try again in late January or early February. Make sure to check for software updates before you try.

Home sale in Turbotax 2025

in desktop deluxe the home sale worksheet is available. I tested it and the taxable gain does flow to form 8949. However, the 8949 and schedule D are not yet final

according to this website 8949/schedule D are supposed to be available next week. Don't hold your breath because some of these forms were, in December 2025, per this website, available earlier. E-filing does not open until the last week in January. Turbotax does accept some returns earlier buut they just sit on its server until e-filing officially opens. One issue is the IRS has not released all official forms for 2025 and in fact if you go to its website and enter a form number the 2024 will show up.
