Health Related Accounts

In the health related section on turbo tax  (deductions and credits) , I am asked to select HSA, MSA, Medicare advantage MSA or none of the above. I am unclear on which to select. I have medigap coverage and a supplemental insurance with a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Are HSA and HRA the same thing?

I do not have a high-deductible health plan. Thanks!

No, HSA and HRA are not the same type of account.

HSA is a Health Savings Account which has tax advantages and must be reported as part of your tax return.

HRA is a Health Reimbursement Arrangement and there is nothing that you need to report on your tax return with regard to this account.
