Got this when doing my IL state return. It also asked me the agency. Schedule EIC: License Number must be entered.

Illinois requires the name of the issuing agency and license, registration or certification number if your occupation requires a city, state, or county issued professional license, registration, or certification.

Enter your license number.

It is unusual for this to come up. If it does not apply to you, try deleting your Schedule IL-E\EIC to clear your data.

• Click Tax Tools in the left column

• Click Tools

• Select Delete a Form in Tools Center

• Scroll down to Schedule EIC in Illinois Return. Delete.

• The form will automatically repopulate
