Form 8911 Line 1 Error

I have been having the same issues as all of you. Here's a question. The credit that Form 8911 figures is a non refundable credit, the 30% credit for installation of EV chargers. Since I have the credit from buying my vehicle, I have no more tax liability. Is it even worth filing form 8911? I don't think I can get anything out of it. Anyone have answers? Thanks for all the info here.

You are correct, if your tax liability has been reduced to $0 by your electric vehicle purchase credit, there is no benefit to completing Form 8911 for your alternate fuel vehicle refueling property. You cannot use the credit in the current or future years since you have no tax liability in the current year to apply it to.
