When will this get resolved? I have been waiting to file for nearly a month.
Anyone want to bet against me that the date changes from 3/6 to 3/7 tonight??
I am trying to complete Form 8911 and I am frustrated as well. The form seems to have been pushed to 03/06. Why is TurboTax not resolving it? Also, does anyone know how to get their property GEOID? I am being asked this detail while filling this form.
@pvarun17 CDFI mapping tool is in the IRS instructions for form 8911 (Instructions for Form 8911 (01/2024) | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov):(

TurtleTax does not care and does not want our business anymore.
Latest lies as of 2/28:
Hooray! It finally let me file!
Using TT with form 8911? I don't see it fixed yet.
Hello all,
I was able to complete Form 8911 just a few minutes ago. I had the error message to file on 03/06 an hour ago but now was able to file my taxes. Finally its over!!!
Thanks!
@wjl22 please go to your form and start again. it will be done!
Yes!!! Filed successfully. Thanks for the heads up. See ya everyone.
Deleted the form. The re applied it. It did not work for me still getting the please check back on 3/6/24 to get the credit message. I thought I had it. 😐
True, even with the error on 8911 form, it will let you file. Don't "Smart Check", just click "Done" and you're good to go.
Btw I went to the IRS website and the latest 8911 Form is dated Jan 2024, Rev 1. So if you did your taxes by hand, you'd be using that Form Rev. This is a TT problem, so now they're probably letting you file with an error from 8911. And BTW, it's not an error, if you look at the TT Form that filled out, its filled out perfectly. Good luck.
I tried this (skipping smart check). IT WILL NOT LET YOU FILE. I get all the way to TRANSMIT RETURNS and it blocks me. This makes me beyond angry.
I had my original post on page 6 of this forum. I can also now state that I was also able to e-file with Form 8911 included.
