This is in reference to the form 1040, schedule1 WORKSHEET where it's asked about self employed health insurance and long term health insurance.  Are they asking solely about long term health insurance held by taxpayer that is self employed?  My husband and I are NOT self employed.

Yes, the self-employed health insurance deduction is only for self-employed taxpayers.

If you pay for health insurance through your job, your premiums not taxed by your employer, so you can't deduct them on your tax return.

If you have other health insurance, including long term care insurance, optical and dental coverage, that you pay for out of pocket, you can deduct that under Deductions & Credits. That is part of Itemized deductions, and only the amount that exceeds 7.5% of your gross income can be deducted.
