Foreign source dividend income

TurboTax is not generating the Foreign Source Dividend Income window. In previous years, this window was generated when I filled in Box 7 of my total dividend income with the foreign tax paid. (These are the figures that will automatically fill out form 1116, correct?)

Is this something new in 2023 or is my copy of Ttax defective and does it need to be re-imported or even downloaded?

Foreign source dividend income

When you enter the Foreign Tax Paid amount from your 1099-DIV, this info transfers to the Foreign Tax Credit section.

However, you do have to open the Foreign Tax Credit topic to finish the entries there and link to the dividend entry.

As far I can recall, it has always been that way in TurboTax; first you enter the Income, then claim the Credit (different parts of the program).

Here's more info on How to Claim a Foreign Tax Credit.
