Filing a trust return. There is foreign tax paid from a mutual fund. TTax insists on values in Form 1116, column A. Column B is auto-filled. Where do I get Column A info?

Can I just cut/paste from column B into A with RIC as the source? So, only column A will have data. That seems contrary to the form instructions.

It depends. I am just curious why Column B was filled in instead of column A. What I suggest is to go to the step by step portion of your return. Delete the DIV entry from the summary page, and then reenter the 1099 DIV. Then go to your forms mode and see if the amounts will populate in Column A instead of Column B in Form 1116.
