Efile rejected because of Form 8936

My federal and state efile got rejected because the form that turbotax sent isn't updated.

Why would turbotax let me submit it with the form still being updated..?

Also, i paid for the state efiling (19usd), do i have to pay that again? I have the turbotax premier windows software

I apologize for your frustration.

I can tell you that based upon the message you received, your return was not submitted but was put on hold until the Form is updated.

TurboTax is currently working on fixing an issue with how the credit is calculated in the program.  Please see the attached for more information on how to be updated when they rectify the issue.

Motor vehicle credit is not calculating correctly

And you should not have to pay again.  If you have issues when you are able to file once the forms are updated, please let us know and we will assist you accordingly.

i have the same issue and when i log in turbo tax again, I can not see my federal return or California return. I am so confused. Do you want us to notify you when the form is updated? How should we do now?

It shows me it on hold pending ongoing updates. It is so confusing, I don't know when turbotax can get the update form 8936. I just don't want to end up got reject again, I am pretty sure the number I put is correct. Screen Shot 2020-02-21 at 4.32.27 PM.png

The fix for Form 8936 was included in the February 20th release.  As insurance, delete Form 8936 and reenter it.  It should go through then.
