I entered my information from my 1098-T. Why didn't I get credit for education as I did last year?

Did your income increase? We cannot see your tax return please review the qualifications: What education tax credits are available?
If you meet all the requirements then please go back through the interview and verify your entries:
The taxes are for my daughter, Wendy [PII removed]. Her income increased around $2000.00. Last year she had credit for the American Opportunity and Lifetime Learning Credit but I don't see that form completed this year. Would that credit apply this year?
Please be aware, that if your daughter meets the requirements to be your dependent and you claim her as a dependent then she cannot get the education credit.
If you choose to not claim her but she meets the requirement to be your dependent then she cannot qualify for the refundable part, she can only qualify for the non-refundable part (which reduced her tax due but not below $0). But if her income is less than 10K, she is not going to qualify for the non-refundable portion.
A full-time unmarried student, under age 24, whether claimed or not, is only eligible for the refundable portion of the American Opportunity Credit if she supports himself by working. She cannot be supporting herself on parental support, 529 plans, or student loans & grants. She usually must have actually paid tuition, not had it paid by scholarships & grants.
If all this does not apply then please go back through the education interview to verify everything is entered correctly.
