Does the EV tax credit apply to purchases only or does it include leases? I can't find any info

I leased a qualifying EV but I just wonder if it counts because everything says "purchase" and technically it's not a purchase. So I just wonder if it still qualifies

No you cannot get the EV credit for a leased vehicle.
