Does tax return amount include Recovery Rebate Credit?

I never received my first two stimulus checks and I filed my taxes and was offered the recovery rebate credit. I see a set refund amount and was wondering if the refund amount has the Rebate credit included in it? . I should be getting both a refund and my Recovery Rebate Credit right?

Not everyone gets a big refund (or a refund at all), especially if you don't have dependents.  Why do you think you should be getting a large refund?

This is my first time filing. I didn’t think so at first but my parents informed me that something may have been wrong. I looked at the average refund amount for my income and looked up the estimate on different sites.

If you didn't get the first 2 stimulus checks and qualify it should be on your 1040 line 30.  Check there.  It either adds to your refund or reduces a tax due.    If you don't understand other lines on your return please ask.   Every one's tax return is different.  Depends on  your total income and how much tax withholding you had and any extra credits you qualify for.  

Oh, did you do a state return?  At the end Turbo Tax shows you the combination of Federal and State.  But that is only for your own info.  You will get both separately.  Check your federal refund on line 35a.
