Why am I charged by TurboTax for State tax return?

The online products incur an additional charge for state income tax preparation.

But it was not informed when we started.  It clear said State tax is included ( not for additional charge).

If you are using online TurboTax......which is what you posted your question from......you pay separate fees for federal and state returns.

  If you purchased the CD/download with a state software program included---that included the software download to prepare returns for one state of your choice---but there is a fee of $25 to e-file the state return.
