Do I need to put in my taxes if i had damage to my home and filed an insurance claim, but no loss

i had roof and shed damage, but insurance covered it. so no loss financially. Do i need to put in tax return

No, you don't need to include your home damage on your tax return.

No, you do not need to report that insurance payment.

 

Casualty and theft losses are not reported on a federal tax return unless they occurred in a federally declared disaster area.
