Do I need to file an estate tax return for an estate that has assets, but does not have any income?

I am the Executor for my late father's estate.  My mother is still living.  Dad's estate has some business assets that were not in my mother's name.  There was NO income generated from these assets in 2017.  Do I need to file estate taxes, and, if so, would that be a 1041 using Turbo Tax for Business?  No K1's are required.
