Do i enter medical bills I got last year but didn't pay until this year?

I was billed for hospital services for may of last year, but due to complications with the billing statement, I didn't pay the bills until this year. Do those medical expenses go on last years taxes or this years?

On your 2016 tax return, you can only claim medical expenses actually paid out in 2016.

Medical expenses paid out in 2017 will be claimed on your 2017 tax return.
