Deduction for heat pump and heat pump water heater

Just so you know, your statement that the form has not been finalized by the IRS is not true.  The updated 2023 residential energy tax credit form is available on irs.gov and has been for a couple of months.  The delay is 100% on turbo tax.  Turbo tax has pushed this back over a month now.

@dcdeland The answer provided 3 weeks ago was entirely correct.  At that time the IRS had Not finalized the Form 5695 Instructions for 2023.

The IRS just released the Form 5695 Instructions for tax year 2023 on 01/31/2024.

The Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits for tax year 2023 has not yet been finalized in TurboTax.

The Form 5695 is scheduled to be available in TurboTax on 02/07/2024 (subject to change).
