Deducting Chiropracter care along with health ins premiums for self employed without itemizing?

I am self employed.  I have medical insurance, it is First Dollar something.  It is not High Deductible.  To my understanding, because of this, I am no eligible for a HSA.  (If I was eligible for HSA, I could pay for chiro adjustments out of it and take those contributions off my taxes.)  Is there a way that I can take chiro visits off my taxes, on schedule C or schedule 1 without having to itemize?

No, you have to itemize to deduct your chiropractor visits on your tax return.

You can claim the amount you pay for health insurance as a self-employed health insurance deduction. If you have your insurance through the healthcare marketplace, click here follow those instructions instead.

  1. Select Federal on the left side menu.
  2. Under  Wages & Income, find Self-employment income and expenses.
  3. Select Start/Edit to the right.
  4. On the screen titled, Your 2022 self-employed work summary, select Edit to the right of your self-employment entry.
  5. Click Add Expenses.
  6. Check the box for  Health insurance premiums, scroll down and click Continue.
  7. Click Start to the right of Health insurance premiums.
  8. Enter the insurance name and amount you paid for your health insurance.
