Deductible Moving Expenses/Temporary Housing

I'll be moving to a different state to start a new job in August. I will be living in a short term rental/temporary housing before finding a long-term place to live. Is the rent I pay for temporary housing deductible as a work expense due to my new job?

Sorry---moving expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction when the tax laws changed for 2018 and beyond.  Only certain active duty members of the military can deduct moving expenses on a federal return.  Some states have different laws.
