Hey,
It's already Feb. 18 and your website still says the worksheet is expected to be ready on Feb. 17. What is exactly going on?
Looking back at old threads posted from previous recent years, this Im has been a problem before and was never corrected and appears to be copied forward from year to year. This may be the last straw for me with TT.
Joining the conversation. Same issue and frustration as others. Desktop version. Two 1098's. One sold, one bough in same year. Same error as of today 5pm ET.
Joining in as well, same issue. Paid hoping it would allow me to bypass and... nope. I'm working with 3 1098's, one for the property I sold 8/17/2021 (condo, for future reference), and 2 for the property I purchased 4/30/2021(house), the original lender and then the lender it was sold to. Both mortgages were for sub $750k. I combined the 2 for the house per some others instructions and it did nothing. Since I had some overlap it's combining the two numbers to make my total debt over $750k, but from what I've read it should be treated as two individual sub $750k mortgages and all should be deductible?
Condo sat for 3 months on the market, when I put everything in I marked both as main homes, perhaps that's also throwing it off? They overlapped while one was on the market, so that may impact it?
Currently pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Using online so can't override the numbers. I'm a tax idiot, that's why I use TurboTax....
Completely deleted all my 1098s and reentered them. Still giving me an error and asking me to fix the name portion of this worthless worksheet. Seriously TurboTax, this is ridiculous at this point.
Spent an hour on the phone with an agent who called after requesting agent from the help menu. She got on with customer service and the best they could offer was a 30% discount. I demanded free live feature or a I bail for a different company. This is ridiculous. They put in a ticket and said I would be notified when this issue is fixed, ZERO ETA quoted. I'm done waiting on TT. BYEEEEEE forever.
I asked for clarification on Facebook. They eventually told me "Because this is not a TurboTax software issue, we do not currently have a firm date of resolution. If you are still having this problem after the form update, you may contact our phone support." So no answer to the timeline, no reason why the holdup, no information on how to refund my money, and no confirmation if/When I can file my taxes. Took my money but I cannot file taxes. We all need to go on Social Media and blast every post they make. Let people know that if you have multiple 1098's, you cannot use Turbotax.
I went over to FreeTaxUSA and put in all my info again and have already E-filed with no errors. I am done with TurboTax permanently.
How are they claiming that it is not current. It was last reviewed by on Feb 3rd.

Has anyone had luck getting a refund for the online software? Their website initially says that we aren't entitled to their 60 day money back guarantee with the online version, but then allowed me to challenge it and submit a written emial request for refund. Hoping they give me my refund... It's ridiculous that they make you pay before you even submit the application... And this error is the reason I cannot submit. With the lack of communication on this issue and how many people are frustrated over this, I just want to file my taxes elsewhere to get it done with.
I have the exact same issue as you. sold my home and bought a home last year
Sorry, but it's Feb 18th and the Worksheet FIX is not Fixed? What gives??
File a claim with your credit card company and file your taxes elsewhere. Your CX will take care of you if TT refuses to help. If you are in the right, they will resolve it.
So is this problem going to be resolved or not? It's a few hours from being February 19th and I still can't file. I can't believe TurboTax took my money but won't file my taxes.
I had three 1098's from 2021. I sold a house on 4/10/21, bought another on 4/14/21, and then the mortgage company sold my mortgage to another lender. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to file my taxes. Worst experience ever filing taxes!
Update, I just tried the "fix" they keep listing as a response and it does not work. Still can't file. Also, the "fix" feels very wrong, taxes should not be submitted that way.
