i didn't recieve third stimulus payment as income was too high.  had a child in november, so now can file as head of household.  income threshold increased, so it looks like im getting my credit for 1400 and 1400 for my child even though she was born well after stimulus payments were sent.  am i correct?

Yes, you are correct.  If your 2021 Adjusted Gross Income is below the maximum for receiving the Recovery Rebate Credit then you are eligible to receive the credit on your 2021 tax return.

A child born in 2021 is also eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.
