Covid Testing Mileage

My wife's work requires her to get tested for Covid twice a week. Some days it is her scheduled day off and she is required to drive the 40 miles to work and back. Her work only pays for the 15 minutes during the testing but not the time it takes her to drive there and back. Can we deduct the miles driven on her days off when she goes to get tested?

Sorry--no. Job-related expenses are not deductible on a federal return for W-2 employees.
