Where do I deduct purchased or subscription software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat or Office 365)?

are you an employee getting a w-2? if so, job expenses are not deductible.

or are you an independent contractor,  then i would enter on schedule C as any of the following - no right answer.   office expense, supplies or even on a misc line and call it software costs
