Co own property

If I co-own property with someone,  do I select that I co-own it if I am going to claim it all my taxes and they are not?

If the form 1098 reporting the mortgage interest was issued with your Social Security number and name, then you do not need to include information about co-owning the property.

If the form 1098 was issued in the other owner’s name, then you will need to enter information about the co-owner.
