I'm trying to claim my child's preschool on my taxes. However when I go to child/dependant care...it asks if "you were a full time student or disabled"...I am neither. It asks nothing about the dependant. How do I go about claiming her pre school then?

First of all, preschool costs can only be claimed for the childcare credit if your child is attending preK so you can work. And you will not get the childcare credit if you have not entered income earned from working. Since you will not have a 2023 W-2 or 1099NEC until later in January, it is unlikely that you have entered earned income for 2023. Wait until you have your tax documents so that you can enter your income and then qualify for the childcare credit.
You (and your spouse if married) must work, or be a full time student, or be disabled, to claim the credit for child care expenses. If you have not entered your income yet, wait and come back to this section after you have your W-2 or you finish your schedule C for self-employment.
