Charitable Donations

Last year our garden produced a lot more produce than we could use.  As the various crops matured, we took the excess to the local Food and Care Coalition and donated it to them.  They provided us with a receipt and value amount for each donation. 

My question is, where and how do I enter these donations into TurboTax?  I don't see anything that resembles donation for produce.  Please help me out.

In TurboTax Online, in Deductions and Credits,

• Scroll to Donations to Charity in 2021 and Click to Add
• Let's enter your donations one at a time
• Who did you donate to in 2021?
• What did you donate? Click Add next to Items
• Choose a category for this donation, Check Other personal property
• Tell us about the items you gave to the organization
• Follow the prompts

Can I enter some charity donations (cash/money) for prior year, which were made in 2020 but I did not claim on 2020 tax filing?

No, unfortunately, taxpayers are considered to be on a cash basis and you can only deduct charitable contributions paid in 2021 on the 2021 tax return.
