My H1b visa started from Oct 1 2017, I stayed in 2018 for 330 days.

Yes, you are a resident for tax purposes since you met the substantial presence test for the calendar year 2018.

@archanar93  while generally agreeing with @TurboTaxDanaB , I am just curious why mentioned 330 days in 2018 ? does that mean you left the country in 2018 and if so when did you surrender  your H-1B ? Were you F-1 prior to oct 1 2017?
