TurboTax only addresses the Income Tax system.

Form 709 GIFT Return, and Form 706 ESTATE Return, are not part of the Income Tax system.

Form 709 can become very complex because it becomes a LifeTime filing year to year even if you have not given another gift in a successive year.

On a different note, is is possible that if you are married that you and your wife could be construed as having shared in the giving of the funds?
