Can I depreciate inherited property

I inherited a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup from my brother's estate? I am the sole heir of his estate. It has gone through probate and the court gave me permission/ownership. Can I depreciate the truck? My tax lady said inherited property can not be depreciated because we did not pay for it.

what is it being used for? personal purposes - no depreciation. Business, other than that as an employee, find a new tax person.
