My church has a neighborhood group structure. I lead one of the groups in my community. I purchase videos and a leader's guide which we use for our group study and discussion. Unlike a lot of church activities, the study is held in my home. My church does not reimburse me for these expenses. Again, these are purchased so we can use them as a group. I do not purchase them for my own use or study. Can I claim them as a deduction (non-cash contribution) on Schedule A?
