Can I deduct my portion of property taxes paid on land from my deceased parents estate?
my brothers and I are in the process of having our parents land divided and deeded to each of us. I paid a portion of the property taxes for the land I am to acquire. Can I deduct this while doing my taxes? Thanks.

Yes, you can deduct the property tax you paid on property that you own. You are responsible for the tax because you inherited the property, and you bear all the rights and burdens of ownership, even if the deed hasn't been finalized yet.
